Self-Drive Rental Terms

A valid driving licence and ID are needed for every self-drive rental. The exact documents we ask for are confirmed at booking, so message us early if you are travelling soon and want to check that yours are accepted. Have everything ready at handover so the process stays quick.

A refundable security deposit is held for each self-drive rental, as shown in the standard terms above. We explain the payment steps and how the deposit is held and released in writing before you confirm, so you know what to expect on the day. Card or payment details are never taken through the website form.

The renter pays for fuel and for Salik tolls used during the rental. We confirm exactly how both are handled at booking, so ask early if you are planning a long drive, such as a day out to Abu Dhabi along the E11. Salik is Dubai's electronic toll system.

Traffic fines issued during the rental are the renter's responsibility. Speed cameras cover most roads in the UAE, so keep to the posted limits and park only where it is allowed. Racing, stunts and drifting on public roads are never acceptable, in any car. That keeps the road enjoyable for you and everyone around you.

If anyone is hurt, call the emergency services first. After that, message us straight away on WhatsApp, take clear photos of the car and the scene, and follow our guidance on the report you need. Insurance is included in the rental and its conditions are confirmed at booking, so ask about them before you collect the car.

Cancellation terms are confirmed at booking and sent to you in writing. If your plans are still moving, say so before you confirm and we explain how the terms apply to your car and dates. Ask for them before you pay anything, and read the written terms before you agree.
